Only a few short years ago folks questioned if a poutine festival in New England could work. That question was answered with a resounding, oui! Fast forward to 2019 and New Hampshire is finally getting its first food truck focused on poutine.
The NH PoutineFest working team would like to congratulate the McMaster family of Rochester, NH, on their new venture HotMess Poutine!
We had a chance to chat with, Quebec born, Renee McMaster who gave us an overview of her vision for her family’s new business.
Renee has the traditional poutine down to a science but also isn’t afraid to try some new things. We love traditional poutine more than anything, but there is nothing more exciting than seeing a food evolve before your eyes. HotMessPoutine will have something for everyone.
Renee honed her cooking skills at St Thomas Aquinas High School in Dover, NH and also trained at Chez Boucher Culinary School in Hampton, NH (that’s a great name for a school).
She plans to travel to festivals (hopefully ours) and business throughout the region. HotMess Poutine’s first appearance will be at Harley Davidson of Rochester on August 3rd at 11 AM.
